Conestoga Bursary Award Winners
Hong Nguyen is in the final semester of her studies in Business at Conestoga College. She is a mature student and a mother of two who returned to school to upgrade her skills in order to improve future career options. Hong sets a powerful example for her children!
Ashley Reeves is in her second and final year of the Interior Decorating program. She is particularly interested in kitchen and bath design. Ashley is a second time recipient of a CFUW Guelph award.
Haley Withers, our third Conestoga bursary winner is a mature student in the Educational Support Program and is a second time recipient. She is passionate about the need for empathy and advocacy for students with exceptional needs.
University of Guelph Scholarship Winners
Alexandra Ball is the 2018 recipient of the CFUW Guelph Engineering Scholarship and is currently in her 3rd year of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Guelph. For her second and third co-op work terms, she is conducting research involving bio-based composites at the Bio-products Discovery and Development Centre at U of G,. She plans to use her education in biological and engineering systems in the health care field, ideally working with prosthetics or medical devices.
Haeahn Kwon – received the CFUW Guelph Master of Fine Arts Scholarship for her achievements in studio art at the University of Guelph. Born in Korea, she has studied in New York, Los Angeles, and now works and creates in Guelph. Her website is http://www.haeahnkwon.com/
