"Lucy Maude Montgomery" Kathy Gastle, Chairman, Lucy Maud Montgomery Society of Norval Kathy Gastle was born and raised in Norval and has always had an unwavering interest in the history of Norval. Her Grandmother, Barbara Browne, took part in the "Olde Thyme Concerts" directed by Anne of Green Gables author Lucy Maud Montgomery who lived in Norval from 1926-1935. Dr Mike Dixon is a Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences and Director of the Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility (CESRF) and program, University of Guelph. He served as Chair of the Department of Environmental Biology from 2003-2008.
