She is currently using these and other approaches to investigate and improve skin cancer prevention. Her research has been supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and has been acknowledged in awards from the Canadian Federation of University Women, the Sheela Basrur Centre, and the American Association for Cancer Education.
